How much does photo booth hire cost in New Zealand?
Photo booth packages in NZ typically run from around $700 for a 2–3 hour wedding setup up to $3,000+ for a large branded corporate activation. Where you land depends on a few things:
- Hours of cover. A 3-hour cocktail-and-canapés booth is different to a 5-hour wedding through to last song.
- Guest count and venue size. 80 guests and 400 guests need different handling.
- Branding level. Standard print template vs full custom branded backdrop and overlay.
- Travel. Hamilton-based, so anything within a radius of Hamilton is included. Further afield we quote transparent travel up front.
- Bundle savings. Combine with a DJ booking and you save on the combined price.

How much does photo booth hire cost in NZ?

How long does setup take?
We arrive 60 to 90 minutes before your booth start time so it is tested, lit, and ready to go before guests arrive. Pack-down is 30 to 45 minutes after your booked time ends.
Can guests take unlimited photos?
Yes. Unlimited photos and unlimited prints during your booked time. No per-print fees.
How quickly do prints come out?
Around 30 seconds. They are touch-dry and waterproof when they land in your hand.
Can we customise the prints?
Yes. Every booking includes custom print template design with your names, date, logo or branding. For corporate, we can add sponsor logos, hashtags and full brand layout.
Do guests need to do anything technical?
Not really. Walk up, hit the button (or touch the screen), grab a prop, smile.
Do you provide an attendant?
Your choice. Our booths are set up to run pretty much bulletproof, so you can hire unattended and let guests help themselves. Or add a friendly attendant who handles setup, helping guests, swapping props, refilling prints and pack-down, hands-off for you.
Is there a bond?
On self-service (unattended) hires we take a $250 refundable bond, returned once the booth comes back in the condition it went out. Attended hires do not need one, we are there with it the whole time.
Do you supply props and backdrops?
Yes, both included. Props curated to your event type. Multiple backdrop options to choose from, with premium options on Signature and Premium tiers.
Can we book a photo booth without a DJ?
Absolutely. Photo booth is a standalone service. That said, the bundle saves money and admin if you need both.
Can you brand the booth for corporate events?
Yes. Custom branded print templates, branded backdrops, customise the booth completely if you want. We've delivered branded setups for dozens of Kiwi businesses.
Can we put the booth outdoors?
Yes, with caveats. We need a sheltered area (gazebo, marquee, verandah), flat ground, and a powerpoint nearby. No direct rain, no strong wind. Tell us your setup and we will confirm.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes, full public liability cover.
How far in advance should we book?
Weddings: 6 to 12 months ahead, especially November to April. 21sts: 2 to 3 months. Corporate Christmas parties: book by September for a December date. Last-minute bookings are sometimes possible, flick us a message.
Do you do multi-booth bookings for large events?
Yes, particularly common for 300+ guest school balls and large corporate events. For multi-booth school events we normally ask teachers to supervise crowd flow.
